About Me

Hi, I am Pratik Khasnabis. I am a solution arhcitect in Melbourne, Australia.
I have been programming since 1998 and progressed to my current role as an architect in 2012. I began programming in C++ in telecoms sector on UNIX and later in Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0

In 2003 I first got into .Net, programming in C# 1.1 on Visual Studio 2003 and since then progressed to C# 6 on VS 2015 and even experimenting C# 7 on VS "15" Preview 4.

My forte in last 10 years has been integration and service oriented architecture in large enterprises. I started designing and building web services with ASMX and later WCF. I have designed asynchronous queue based processing over IBM MQ series and MSMQ. I have also experience with ASP.Net MVC.

The past 1 year I am designing REST APIs, prototyping in ASP.Net Web API, formulating best practice API guidelines and attempting micro-service like architecture withing my company's context. I am involved in a major transformation program implementing a complex enterprise architecture in Microsoft Azure cloud. I am authoring the technical architecture of the Azure environment and integration of Azure services. I have in depth understanding and hands on experience of Azure using both IaaS and PaaS services along with cloud security and hybrid network integration with on-premises data centre as required in an enterprise scenario. I obtained MCSD Azure Solutions Architect certification to validate my learning and establish my credentials.

I am also recently been interested in analytics and data science. I have done the MongoDB for .Net Developers online training and pursuing a few Microsoft data science courses on EdX.
